Mr. Andres received his B.A. Degree from UCLA in 1961. Served as a line officer in the U.S. Navy on destroyers from 1961 – 1965. He attended Hastings College of Law from 1965 to 1968 receiving his J.D. from that institution. For the first 15 years of his practice, Mr. Andres concentrated on criminal law, serving as a Deputy District Attorney and then doing criminal defense work. For the past 20 years, Mr. Andres has concentrated on civil litigation. The emphasis of his practice has been directed toward representing plaintiffs in substantial cases involving professional negligence, personal injury and general civil litigation.

| Mr. Andres was the recipient of the 1986 Franklin G. West Award presented by the Orange County California Bar Association; and in 1989 he was the recipient of the Hasting School of Law “Alumnus of the Year” as presented by the Orange County California Chapter. He has been a Master Bencher for the local Inns of Court and has been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He wrote an article entitled “Jury Selection and Criminal Cases;” and “Legal Malpractice – How to Avoid It.” He taught a course at the University of California at Irvine, entitled: “The Criminal Trial” when he was practicing criminal law.
He has been active in the local community where he has served as president of the Bowers Museum Foundation Board of Directors, president of the Mental Health Assn. of Orange County, and president of the Santa Ana Rotary Club. He is presently on the Board of Directors of THINK Together that tutors school children in Orange County. |
